“Dramatic Illustrations of the Impact of Humans on the Planet”

On view now at the Art Gallery of Ontario,  Anthropocene dramatically illustrates the impact of humans on the planet. Featuring the work of acclaimed Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky and award-winning filmmakers Jennifer Baichwal and Nicholas de Pencier, the exhibition is the culmination of a four year project that saw the artists travel to six continents. Featuring stunning large-scale photographs, film, murals and augmented reality artworks, Anthropocene takes visitors on a global journey from the potash mines in Russia to marble quarries in Italy, landfills in Nairobi, deforestation in British Columbia and more to reveal the many ways in which humans are transforming the planet.
