How will tomorrow's potential walkout affect you?

This past Thursday, the provincial branch of the OSSTF announced its intent to proceed with a full, legal one-day walkout across Ontario on Dec. 4.

What does this mean?

“SIMCOE COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

In the Simcoe County District School Board, OSSTF represents:

  • permanent and occasional secondary teachers
  • Continuing education instructors.

 IMPACT:
If a tentative provincial agreement with OSSTF is not reached, all SCDSB secondary schools and adult learning centers will be closed to students on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

All Grade 7 and 8 students at Elmvale District High School and Stayner Collegiate Institute will still report to school.

SIMCOE MUSKOKA CATHOLIC DISTICT SCHOOL BOARD

 In the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, OSSTF represents:

  • Educational Assistants (EAs)
  • Designated Early Childhood Educators (DECEs)
  • Office and Clerical staff
  • Maintenance workers

 

IMPACT:

If a tentative provincial agreement with OSSTF is not reached, all of the Catholic elementary and Catholic secondary schools in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board will be closed for students on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
