South Simcoe Police issue fraud warning

South Simcoe Police are warning of a fraud  scam going around Innisfil/Bradford.

Fraudsters are pretending to be either an officer or a Service Ontario representative and demand for gift cards or personal information. They then threaten the potential victims with arrest and jail time if they don’t comply.

If you receive a call asking for personal information or money, the best thing to do is just say no and hang up!

You can report fraud to police and the Canadian Ant-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 or visit their website to learn more about the latest scams and how to protect yourself at AntiFraudCentre.ca.
