Global News is projecting that Conservative incumbent Mel Arnold has been re-elected in the riding of North Okanagan-Shuswap.

Arnold is set to return to Ottawa for a third term. With 300 of 308 polls in as of 11 p.m., he had 46.4 per cent of the vote.

Ron Johnston of the NDP was next at 19.2 per cent, and was followed by Shelley Desautels of the Liberals at 18.7 per cent.

Arnold was first elected to Parliament in 2015 after garnering 39.3 per cent of the vote.

In 2019, he easily finished first with 48.8 per cent of the vote.

The riding includes the communities of Vernon, Salmon Arm, Armstrong, Enderby and Sicamous.
