Calling all ghosts and goblins! Join us for Halloween fun at the City of Barrie’s Family Fright Fest!

The event is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. While the event takes place 3–9pm, younger ghosts and goblins, or those with sensitivities are encouraged to come early as the event will get scarier as the evening progresses. Parents/guardians are encouraged to use their discretion when deciding whether to participate in Family Fright Fest. Please note the below hours are catered to the following audiences:

  • 3–4pm:  Sensory-friendly for those who prefer a quieter and less scary experience (nothing will be animated, no scary costumes, and the lights will be on)
  • 8–9pm:  Recommended for ages 10+

Family Fright Fest activities happening throughout the evening include:

“Hoop You” Fire Show at 8pm

When the sun sets, brace yourselves for a jaw-dropping experience! Lucy Loop and her dazzling hula hoop troupe, “Hoop You,” will ignite the night with a spectacular fire and glow show that will leave you spellbound. Joined by two other incredible fire artists, they’ll set the stage ablaze with mesmerizing hoops of flame and hypnotic light displays.
