About Street Cats:

Street Cats Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization with registered charity status serving Barrie, Innisfil and the surrounding areas.  Since 2009, the 100% volunteer based group has been working steadily to make a difference in the lives of the cats that come into their care.

“Operating with no government funding our rescue at any given time may have 150 + cats in our care, split between a large foster home network and our shelter. Our partnerships with various local veterinarian clinics as well as Petsmart in Barrie, enables us to find loving homes for 350 to 450 cats each year.  We are passionate about animal welfare with a mandate to advocate and provide care for animals that are in distress, suffering abuse, abandoned or homeless. Each cat is individually assessed and given appropriate medical treatment including vaccinations, parasite control, spay/neuter, and microchipping. Street Cats also advocates and practices TNR (trap, neuter, return) rescue methods for feral cats.

We depend on community support, donations and ongoing fundraising efforts to continue our work.  All money raised goes directly back to the care and comfort of the cats  i.e. veterinary bills, rent, heat, hydro, food, supplies, etc.  If you would like to find how you can join our volunteer family or about other ways you can help, please contact Street Cats via email at streetcatsrescue@hotmail.com
