THE SIMCOE COUNTY THEATRE FESTIVAL RETURNS FOR ITS THIRD YEAR
This July, The Simcoe County Theatre Festival is a vibrant celebration of local talent, featuring
seven original works written, directed, and performed by artists from across Simcoe County.
The Festival will run from July 10, 2024 – July 21, 2024 at the Five Points Theatre
Tickets to Theatre by the Bay’s Simcoe County Theatre Festival are now on sale. The Festival
will run from July 10, 2024 – July 21, 2024 at the Five Points Theatre and featuring seven original works
written, directed, and performed by artists from across Simcoe County.
“The Festival is a celebration of the incredible creativity in our community” says Artistic Director, Iain
Moggach. “The remarkable range of shows this year, jam-packed into twelve days, speaks to this – and is
certain to have things for everyone!”
The seven plays premiering at the Festival are:
1. ”Blueberry Pie” Written by Kristian Diesen, Directed by Samatha Cole
2. “Kempenfelt Kelly” Written by Alondra Vega-Zaldivar and Sabrina Merks
Directed by Sabrina Merks and Archie Ballantyne
3. “FLOAT” Written by Gordon Haney, Directed by Kyle Popovich
4. “If The Shoe Fits” Written by Trudee Romanek, Directed by Judy Erikson
5. “In Transit” Created and Directed by Alayna Kellett-Moloktow
6. “Son of a Temperance” Written by Lori McIntyre, Directed by Stevie Baker
7. “Unpacked Memories” Written by Michelle Greig, Directed by Kat Horzempa
The Festival will run over 12 days. Saturdays and Sundays will feature all seven shows. Weeknights will
feature two to three shows. Festival Passes are available for $73.30 and will provide the holder access to
all seven shows across the festival. One night tickets, which will include two shows, are available for
$32.75.
On certain dates, you can purchase tickets for our family production, Kempenfelt Kelly, for an
additional cost. There is also a midday performance for Kempenfelt Kelly for families and camps.
