Storytelling and music have always been at the heart of Indigenous culture, carrying history, wisdom,
and resilience through generations. The Gojijing Friendship Circle and St. Paul’s Centre invite you
to The Fire Still Burns — a powerful evening celebrating the strength of Indigenous voices through
song and story. Jeff Monague (Myiingan Minonaakwhe) will guide the evening as MC. At its core,
The Fire Still Burns is a testament to the enduring power of Indigenous traditions. Stories hold deep
teachings, reminding us of our responsibilities to the land, to each other, and to the generations that
follow. Through music, voices rise in unity, carrying messages of hope, resistance, and renewal.
The #gojijing Friendship Circle is a growing community of leaders committed to fostering truth,
reconciliation, and right relations across the greater Gojijing bioregion. This event is a reflection of
that mission — a space where Indigenous and non-Indigenous community members can come
together to listen, learn, and share in the spirit of connection.
Join us for this special evening. Admission is FREE, and donations are welcome. More than just a
performance, this gathering is an opportunity to experience the living legacy of Indigenous
storytelling and song—a fire that continues to burn brightly.
