Boots and Hearts Barn Burner & Charity Hockey Game

The Boots and Hearts Barn Burner charity hockey game is back for another exciting year at the Sadlon Arena, August 6, 2025. Host and Chair Alex Nuttall officially launched the 2025 event today during a press conference held at Burl’s Creek, joined by special guest National Hockey League (NHL) defenseman Isaak Phillips with the Winnipeg Jets.

Player rosters will be announced in the coming weeks and months. Organizers encourage fans to stay tuned and follow along for updates on social media at @bootsandheartsbarnburner on Facebook and Instagram.

The Boots and Hearts Barn Burner continues to make a meaningful impact in the community by raising funds and awareness for vital local causes, including the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) Foundation, The John Tavares Foundation, PIE Education, Rotary, and many more deserving charitable initiatives. Powered by the energy of hockey legends, community players, and live music presented by title sponsor Boots and Hearts Music Festival, this year’s game will surely unite fans for an unforgettable night of hockey, entertainment, and generosity.

The Boots and Hearts Barn Burner has a rich history of supporting local charities, having raised over $2 million to date. Beneficiaries include The Royal Victoria Health Centre (RVH), Rotary, PIE Education, the John Tavares Foundation, and more. The 2024 event was a tremendous success, raising just over $400,000 for local causes and featuring Toronto Maple Leafs Captain John Tavares alongside numerous NHL players and alumni. The Barn Burner roster typically includes 26 professional hockey players from the NHL and OHL, as well as community participants and special guests.
