Terry Fox Run

The Terry Fox Run is an annual fundraising event for cancer research, inspired by Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope. In 1980, after losing a leg to cancer, Fox began a run across Canada to raise money for research, covering over 5,000 kilometers before cancer spread to his lungs, forcing him to stop. The annual Run allows communities to participate by running, walking, or biking, raising funds to continue Fox’s legacy and support cancer research, making it a symbol of hope, determination, and perseverance.
